I recalled that i read this blog belonging to an emirates crew describing her life away from home. She mentioned that she treasured her family n frens in singapore even more, being away from everyone. And her most difficult time is when she fell ill in her apartment and there's no one there for her.
I used to think tat it's fine, being an MC queen myself, i thought it's really no big deal falling sick with no one there. But after my Frankfurt trip, i can totally relate to how she felt.
We reached frankfurt in the evening, and everything was ok, until i went to take a shower n prepared myself for bed. I think i might have caught a cold, and i started having flu, runny nose and then fever.... throughout the whole night, i was struggling to fall asleep. i woke up every hour to see that it's still midnight, and my fever got from bad to worse.
I was supposed to go out with some crew to the Christmas Market in the city the next day, but i really couldn't make it anymore. I layed in bed for the entire day feeling horrible n alone. I was so sick that i called the recept to get me a doc, but they said it's too expensive n asked me to go to the airport clinic, which i was too weak to do so... I struggled alone in my room, trying to get my cabin manager, but to no avail. By the time she called me back, it was already wake up call time...
In the end, i had to dead-head back with the flight, feeling sick and guilty as they are down by one crew.... i went to the doc just now and i'm still having fever. i hope i get well soon, so that i will not disrupt my london flight.....
